Hello again, I hope your feeling festive and enjoying the opportunity to catch up with friends and loved ones this season brings. Thats one of the things I love about Christmas , it’s a great time for getting together with old friends and making some new ones. I know we’ve got facebook now but that’s not nearly as nice as getting a card through the door , while holding a beer 🙂 …and watching Alister Simm in ( the PROPER version of ) Scrooge. Surounded by crisps and tangerine peel .

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you and banjo fans everywhere a very Happy Christmas and all you wish for in 2o12. Also, to anyone thinking of taking up the banjo ( or any other instrument for that matter ) , do it ! Don’t worry about people telling you it isn’t cool , everyone plays guitar, we’re the rebels now ! :-).
Last thing, I’ve heard more mature people say ” I ‘d love to play but I’m …years old now , how old will I be before I’m any good ?” I read an article by banjo great, Pete Wernick where he addressed this question. In his words:
“You’ll be exactly the same age you’ll be if you don’t give it a try , an its a lot of fun.”
